The Lingyin Temple
The Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou, China is a working Buddhist monastery and temple complex that is also a major tourist site. The portion that is open to visitors consists primarily of a series of temples rising about a half mile up the side of a mountain, with each temple more impressive than the last. This picture shows Sara and friend (Carolyn?) viewing one of the many extremely large Buddha statues in one of these mountainside temples.
