Dr. Shen

Gao had a better picture of Dr. Shen Dingli, the Fudan University professor, administrator and CCP high-party official who spoke to us about Chinese foreign policy.  Dr. Shen and I have known each other for a few years and have team-taught summer mini-courses together as part of the Glimpses of China program, and he told me that he has never been as impressed with a group of high school students as he was with our kids.  As I mentioned before, he was so impressed that he invited Peddie into a relationship with Fudan University's Center for American Studies, a relationship which we will certainly pursue as part of our Asian Studies Program.  Our intelligent and well-behaved students have been impressing people all over China, serving as excellent representatives of Peddie abroad.
