First Day in Shanghai

After settling in on our first evening, morning brought a delicious breakfast, a tour of the campus and a formal welcome from Madame He, the Headmaster of EFZ.  A fun morning followed, with Peddie students shadowing their partners through their morning classes.  (Postings on the morning's activities will follow.)  After lunch our group set off into the city, taking the metro to People's Square and the famous Shanghai Museum.  (The attached picture is a photo of our students in front of the Shanghai Museum.)  Further explorations included a trip to the Shanghai Urban Planning Museum to view a scale model of Shanghai, followed by an outstanding dinner hosted by Mrs. Ding, mother of current student Ding Ding who was also at the dinner.  More on that dinner and the incredible discussion we had with Dr. Slaughter of the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton in a later post.  We're off for another adventure right now; stay tuned for more details in upcoming posts.
